About The Position

Maintain hotel rooms and the building to ensure a safe and clean experience for hotel guests, associates, and vendors. The role involves cleaning and inspecting guest rooms, changing linens, replenishing supplies, and using cleaning tools and agents while following applicable procedures. The position requires regular attendance, teamwork, and the ability to perform physical cleaning tasks, including working in confined spaces and handling equipment and linens.

Requirements

Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extend arms overhead for cleaning tasks, and work in confined spaces.
Willingness to help coworkers and work as part of a team.
Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and the operation of various cleaning equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to adapt communication style to different audiences, including supervisors, coworkers, and the public.

Responsibilities

Clean bathtubs, toilets, sinks, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floors using cleaning tools and agents.
Follow cleaning procedures and instructions for using cleaning agents.
Strip beds and change linens; make beds, including handling bedspreads weighing up to 50 lbs.
Dust furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves.
Vacuum rooms and empty trash.
Replenish guest-room amenities, linens, and supplies.
Sign for and retrieve room keys; transport them to assigned rooms; restock the heavy cart.
Inspect rooms for cleanliness and appearance and indicate when room cleaning is complete.
Follow attendance rules and maintain regular availability for work.
Help coworkers with their duties and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
