Guest Room Attendant

About The Position

Responsible for cleaning guest rooms in accordance with company and departmental standards and ensuring the security of guest rooms and their contents. The attendant cleans assigned rooms, changes bed linens, collects and replenishes bath linens, dusts hard surfaces, vacuums carpeted areas, cleans bathrooms, and replenishes room amenities. The role also involves stocking the supply cart, updating room status, completing required departmental paperwork, reporting repairs, and responding quickly and efficiently to guest requests. Other duties may be assigned by management.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior experience in a similar position preferred.
Must be able to stand and walk for the majority of the shift.
Must be able to push, pull, or maneuver a supply cart weighing approximately 200 pounds.
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
Must be able to kneel, reach, stoop, bend, scrub, sweep, vacuum, and dust.
Must be able to obtain and maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in a similar position.
Knowledge of the proper use of chemicals used in cleaning guest rooms.

Responsibilities

Clean assigned guest rooms according to company and departmental standards.
Ensure the security of guest rooms and their contents.
Change bed linens and collect used bath linens, replenishing them with fresh linens.
Dust hard surfaces and vacuum carpeted areas.
Clean bathroom sinks, counters, tubs and/or showers, toilets, and other surfaces.
Replenish room amenities such as tissues and soaps.
Stock the supply cart with supplies needed to clean guest rooms.
Update room status and complete required departmental paperwork.
Notify the housekeeping office of repairs needed in guest rooms.
Handle guest requests quickly and efficiently.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
