About The Position

Join the Lodging team at the Grand Canyon Railway and Hotel as a Guest Room Attendant. The role is responsible for cleaning guest accommodations according to established company standards and helping create clean, comfortable spaces for guests. This is a part-time, year-round position paying $19.35 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to perform the listed physical duties, including lifting, pushing, and pulling items weighing up to 75 pounds and constantly pushing a loaded cart weighing up to 300 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods and occasionally walk on uneven surfaces.
• Ability to use trunk strength and exert static muscle strength to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a housekeeping or custodial position.

Responsibilities

• Support Xanterra's Mission Statement, Core Values, and Cultural pillar.
• Clean assigned guest accommodations according to company standards within the 45-day time frame stated in the posting.
• Control master and guest room keys and maintain the security of vacant and occupied guest rooms.
• Follow stay-over room cleaning standards when handling guests’ property.
• Follow instructions from the Inspector, Supervisor, or Management to return to rooms and correct discrepancies.
• Follow lost and found procedures and immediately report found items to the Inspector, Supervisor, or Management.
• Immediately report maintenance-related problems to the Inspector, Supervisor, or Management.
• Stock the cart neatly and safely according to instructions and standards.
• Follow instructions for using chemicals and cleaning agents.
• Practice risk management procedures, including morning stretches, and promptly report safety problems to supervisors.
• Wear required personal protective equipment while performing tasks.
• Perform tasks effectively without close supervision.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
