About The Position

The Guest Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness standards in guest rooms and suites, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant experience for guests. This role involves a combination of essential duties related to room cleaning and supportive functions, all while adhering to hotel standards and values.

Requirements

Ability to arrive to work on time and when scheduled.
Physically able to move large objects such as carts, large bags of linen, and ironing boards.
Physically able to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, brooms, and spray bottles.
Ability to read and recognize room/suite numbers.
Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members verbally or in written form.
Ability to learn, follow, and enforce standards for cleanliness.
Ability to follow all safety procedures/standards and recognize and act in emergency situations.
Regular attendance is essential.
Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.

Nice To Haves

High School graduate or equivalent preferred but not necessary.
6 months to 1 year cleaning experience in housekeeping or janitorial services preferred.
No special licenses or certificates required.
Demonstrate working knowledge of the service standards.
Assimilate into The Hilton Family Values and culture.

Responsibilities

Check housekeeping cart for supplies and stock as needed.
Greet guests immediately with friendly/sincere acknowledgement.
Strip dirty linens/towels and remove used amenities from room/suite.
Clean rooms/suites, including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, and washing windows/tracks.
Report rooms as clean and available.
Report maintenance deficiencies to maintain room compliance.
Replenish linen and guest amenities.
Clean balconies, if applicable.
Respond to special requests by guests.
Provide customer service to guests, including information about hotel services, activities, and local attractions.
Assist co-workers as requested.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
