About The Position

The Dual Rate Guest Room Attendant maintains guest rooms and suites according to hotel cleanliness standards and may directly supervise Guest Room Attendants. The role includes cleaning rooms, handling linens and guest-room supplies, reporting and storing lost items, managing a room key during assigned shifts, and inspecting rooms as needed. Supervisory duties include training associates, planning and assigning work, directing employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.

Requirements

• Housekeeping experience required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand cleanliness standards for rooms and suites.
• Clean assigned rooms and suites to hotel cleanliness standards.
• Strip beds, collect dirty linens, and make beds with fresh linens.
• Replenish linens, amenities, and other supplies in guest rooms.
• Wash, dry, and fold linens in the laundry area.
• Report items found in guest rooms to the Lead Guest Room Attendant; tag lost-and-found items and deliver them to the Housekeeping Office for storage.
• Take responsibility for a room key during the assigned shift and turn it in at the end of the shift to the appropriate person.
• Inspect rooms thoroughly as needed.
• Directly supervise Guest Room Attendants.
• Train associates, plan and assign work, direct work, address complaints, and resolve problems.
