About The Position

Shaner Hotels is hiring a Guest Room Attendant for its 102-room Toftrees Golf Resort in State College, Pennsylvania. The attendant cleans and services assigned guest rooms according to category priority and the hotel’s and franchise’s standards, maintaining quality and cleanliness while protecting guest confidentiality and room security. The role also includes responding to guest requests and complaints, reporting maintenance deficiencies, following housekeeping and safety procedures, restocking the cart, and completing scheduled deep or seasonal cleaning. The position requires a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.

Requirements

• At least one year of cleaning experience.
• Ability to communicate satisfactorily with guests, management, and coworkers so they understand.
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.

Nice To Haves

• Previous hotel experience is preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for the clientele.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service assigned guest rooms according to category priority and established hotel and franchise standards.
• Maintain standards of quality and cleanliness throughout daily assignments.
• Handle guest complaints and requests, working to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Report maintenance deficiencies.
• Maintain the confidentiality and security of guest rooms.
• Follow house, safety, housekeeping room, and security procedures.
• Return and restock the cart at the end of the shift.
• Complete additional deep-cleaning and seasonal-cleaning functions as scheduled.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
