About The Position

Bob’s Discount Furniture is hiring a Retail Guest Experience Sales Specialist to help customers bring their home design ideas to life through attentive service and consultative selling in a low-pressure retail environment. The role is part of a supportive, team-oriented company with more than 200 stores and an inclusive, skills-based culture.

Compensation is an hourly advance against commission, with uncapped commissions. Expected first-year earnings typically range from $45,000 to $65,000 annually; stated base pay is $16.90 per hour, excluding potential commissions, incentives, and bonuses. The position requires a flexible retail schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as the ability to stand for extended periods, move around the showroom, and lift or move up to 50 pounds as needed.

Requirements

• Energetic and self-motivated, with strong interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand for long periods and move throughout the showroom.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Skills in customer engagement, active listening, relationship building, client follow-up, consultative selling, product knowledge, teamwork, communication, adaptability, digital tools, point-of-sale systems, organization, time management, problem solving, and goal orientation.
