About The Position

Spin.AI is seeking a highly analytical, hands-on Growth Marketing Lead to own the performance engine behind inbound marketing across its portfolio, including Backup, Security, and the Atlassian backup/ecosystem. The role connects organic, paid, social, web, retargeting, nurture, conversion, and performance measurement into a cohesive inbound growth engine. Working closely with the Director of Marketing, the Growth Marketing Lead will help campaigns, content, and creative reach relevant audiences, convert effectively, and contribute to measurable pipeline. The role has significant ownership and autonomy as the internal owner of growth performance, coordinating marketing programs, external agencies and freelancers, fractional Marketing Operations support, data, and funnel performance. The Growth Marketing Lead owns acquisition, distribution, activation, conversion, retargeting, nurture, experimentation, optimization, and measurement, while partnering with the Director of Marketing, who owns overall marketing strategy, brand, narrative, content, creative direction, and organic strategy. The position is involved early in campaign planning so audience, channel, conversion, and performance insights can inform campaigns from the beginning. The Growth Marketing Lead will also work with fractional or retained Marketing Operations support on the technical infrastructure for marketing performance. This can include CRM and marketing automation, campaign tracking and attribution, lead scoring and routing, lifecycle automation, integrations, database health, dashboards, and reporting. The role does not require personally administering every system, but does require enough technical fluency to define business requirements, identify issues, and use the resulting data to guide decisions. Success is measured by marketing-sourced pipeline, qualified opportunities, inbound conversion rates, cost per qualified lead and opportunity, lead-to-opportunity conversion, paid acquisition efficiency, landing-page and website conversion, funnel velocity, growth experiment performance, and improved visibility and confidence in marketing performance across the portfolio. The role is based in Los Angeles, California, with a hybrid office model.

  • Develop retargeting audiences and programs, lifecycle segmentation, and nurture strategies; partner with fractional Marketing Operations support on automation and technical implementation.
  • Use AI in research, analysis, execution, experimentation, and decision-making; analyze data, identify trends and opportunities, accelerate campaign development, and build AI-enabled repeatable workflows.
  • Maintain a prioritized growth experimentation roadmap; move quickly from hypothesis to execution, scale successful experiments, stop ineffective ones, and proactively bring forward ideas, channels, and technologies.
  • Connect marketing activities to measurable business outcomes across the visitor-to-pipeline funnel; establish KPIs and monitor acquisition costs, funnel conversion, opportunity creation, pipeline contribution, and campaign ROI.
  • Translate performance data into recommendations and actions and help leadership understand what is working, what is not, why, and what Marketing should do next.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Marketing, broader marketing leadership, Sales, Product, creative resources, external partners, and Marketing Operations support.
  • Define business requirements for marketing operations infrastructure, recognize when systems or tracking are not working correctly, and use resulting data to make informed decisions.
