About The Position

Spin.AI is hiring a highly analytical, hands-on Growth Marketing Lead to own the performance engine behind inbound marketing across its portfolio: Backup, Security, and the Atlassian backup/ecosystem. The role connects organic, paid, social, web, retargeting, nurture, conversion, and measurement into a cohesive inbound growth engine, with the goal of reaching the right audiences, converting effectively, and contributing to measurable pipeline. The Growth Marketing Lead partners closely with the Director of Marketing and serves as the internal owner of growth performance, coordinating marketing programs, agencies and freelancers, fractional Marketing Operations support, data, and funnel performance. The role offers significant ownership and autonomy. The Growth Marketing Lead owns inbound demand and acquisition performance from initial discovery through qualified opportunity. Responsibilities span paid acquisition strategy and budget optimization; campaign activation and distribution; conversion-rate optimization; retargeting, lifecycle, and lead-nurture strategy; growth experimentation; and performance analytics and attribution. The role connects marketing activity to qualified opportunities, pipeline, acquisition costs, funnel conversion, and campaign ROI, and turns analysis into recommendations and action. The role is a close counterpart to the Director of Marketing, who owns overall marketing strategy, integrated campaigns, narrative, brand, content, messaging, creative direction, organic strategy, customer storytelling, thought leadership, and market point of view. The Growth Marketing Lead owns acquisition, distribution, activation, conversion, retargeting, nurture, experimentation, optimization, and measurement, and contributes audience, channel, conversion, and performance insights early in campaign planning. The position does not take ownership of overall marketing, brand, editorial, company narrative, creative direction, or integrated marketing strategy. The position works with a fractional or retained Marketing Operations resource on the technical infrastructure for marketing performance, potentially including CRM and marketing automation, tracking and attribution, lead scoring and routing, lifecycle automation, integrations, database health, dashboards, and reporting. The Growth Marketing Lead is expected to define business requirements, recognize when systems are not working correctly, and use the resulting data, without necessarily administering every system personally. The role is intended for a self-starting, collaborative, adaptable marketer who balances strategic thinking with hands-on execution, moves quickly through thoughtful testing and iteration, and prioritizes measurable outcomes. AI is expected to be part of everyday research, analysis, execution, experimentation, automation, and decision-making. The successful candidate should be comfortable learning a technical cybersecurity market and understanding customer problems.

  • Comfortable learning complex technology and cybersecurity sufficiently to make informed decisions about audiences, campaigns, messaging, and performance.

  • Use AI to support research, data analysis, insight synthesis, campaign development, experimentation, reporting, workflow automation, and marketing execution; validate AI-generated analysis and apply human judgment.
  • Identify and build repeatable AI-enabled workflows that reduce manual work and improve the speed, quality, and scalability of marketing execution.
  • Maintain a prioritized growth experimentation roadmap, move from hypothesis to execution, scale successful tests, and stop unsuccessful ones.
  • Proactively bring forward growth ideas, channels, technologies, and opportunities.
  • Connect marketing activity to measurable outcomes across visitor, lead, qualified lead, opportunity, pipeline, and revenue; establish campaign and acquisition KPIs.
  • Monitor acquisition costs, funnel conversion, opportunity creation, pipeline contribution, and campaign ROI, and turn performance data into recommendations and actions.
  • Help leadership understand marketing performance, what is working or not, why, and what Marketing should do next.
  • Work closely with the Director of Marketing, marketing leadership, Sales, Product, creative resources, agencies, freelancers, vendors, and fractional Marketing Operations support.
  • Define business requirements for marketing performance infrastructure, identify technical or tracking issues, and use data from marketing systems to inform decisions.
