About The Position

The Investigator conducts investigations of forfeited Company bail bonds. The role involves reviewing filed information, verifying details, generating leads, conducting investigations, interviewing potential sources, documenting findings in the company-wide internal computer database, and submitting legal documentation to Company Legal representatives for further legal process. Investigators may conduct surveillance and build working relationships with municipal, state, federal, and private organizations. The position requires working both independently and as a team member, keeping the Team Leader informed of ongoing activities, and following Company policies and assigned work.

Requirements

Complete at least a 40-hour Powers of Arrest P.O.S.T. course.
Live within 45 miles of San Jose.
Be PC 1299 compliant.
Possess a valid California driver’s license.
Have knowledge of investigative principles, techniques, and procedures.
Be able to conduct investigations; apply laws, rules, regulations, and adopted company standards; conduct interviews; gather facts; evaluate findings; and apply them to each case.

Responsibilities

Conduct investigations of forfeited Company bail bonds.
Review filings, verify information, generate leads, and conduct thorough investigations.
Identify, contact, and interview potential sources of information.
Prepare, evaluate, summarize, and document investigative findings as case notes in the company-wide internal computer database.
Prepare and submit legal documentation to Company Legal representatives for further legal process.
Conduct surveillance of individuals or locations pertinent to investigations.
Interact and establish working relationships with municipal, state, federal, and private organizations as needed.
Work productively as a team member and independently when the case requires.
Keep the Team Leader appropriately informed of ongoing activities and other matters affecting operations.
Adhere to Company policies and procedures and perform assigned work.
