Group Supervisor
About The Position
Rite of Passage is hiring a Group Supervisor at Western Secure Treatment Unit (WSTU), a secure post-adjudication facility in Emlenton, Pennsylvania. WSTU provides comprehensive services to young women ages 14–21 through a trauma-informed, strength-based, gender-responsive model, including education, skill development, and individualized therapeutic interventions and treatment. The facility includes residential student dormitories, on-site schooling, a vocational CTE work-training program, a dining hall, and extracurricular opportunities. The Group Supervisor provides general supervision and knowledge of program policies, procedures, and licensing requirements, and directs and supervises students and staff. The role supports staff development and youth needs, monitors and documents behaviors and activities, and participates in educational, social, athletic, and recreational activities. The supervisor also evaluates and develops staff and collaborates with professional colleagues on employee development plans and youth treatment plans. The position pays $55,000 annually and is a day-shift role with a schedule of 3.5 days on and 3.5 days off.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of experience working with at-risk youth.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
- Ability to pass a search of the child abuse central registry.
Responsibilities
- Provide general supervision and knowledge of program policies, procedures, and licensing requirements.
- Direct and supervise students and staff, exercising independent judgment and authority on a daily basis.
- Foster an atmosphere supportive of staff needs and development, as well as youth needs.
- Monitor and document behaviors and activities.
- Participate in and assist with educational, social, athletic, and recreational activities.
- Evaluate and develop staff.
- Collaborate with other professional staff to establish and meet goals in employee development plans and youth treatment plans.
