About The Position

Wonderspring, a nonprofit early childhood education organization, is seeking a Group Supervisor for its Colonial School-Age Program. The role supports the before- and after-school program in the Colonial School District, assisting with day-to-day operations during the school year and summer.

The Group Supervisor coordinates and implements developmentally appropriate lesson plans, communicates with families about children’s developmental growth, collaborates with school district personnel, and works with the Site Supervisor and Center Director to orient, supervise, and mentor staff. The role also facilitates family intake and enrollment.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Education.
• Two years of experience working with children.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Strong customer-service skills and the ability to interact effectively with parents or guardians and school district personnel.
• Obtain all required clearances and complete a Health Assessment with TB screening before employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with leading the day-to-day operations of school-age programs throughout the school year and summer.
• Coordinate and implement lesson plans based on developmentally appropriate practices.
• Communicate with families about children’s developmental growth through observations, anecdotal reports, and conferences.
• Collaborate with school district principals, teachers, administrative staff, and custodial staff to support programming.
• Work with the Site Supervisor and Center Director to orient, supervise, and mentor staff, providing tools, information, and support.
• Facilitate the family intake and enrollment process.
