About The Position

The Group Home Caregiver supports people with developmental goals and complex needs, helping them grow, learn, and live well. The role involves building meaningful relationships, encouraging community participation and favorite activities, and assisting with personal hygiene. Caregivers may support individuals who have behavioral challenges. The schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., at $15 per hour.

Requirements

• No high school diploma is required.
• No prior experience is required.
• Communication, adaptability, multitasking, teamwork, and time-management skills.
• Patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible.
• Valid driver's license held for at least one year after obtaining a permit.
• Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
• Clean motor vehicle record that meets Sevita's insurability policy.

Responsibilities

• Help participants grow, learn, and live well.
• Develop meaningful relationships with the individuals served.
• Take initiative to help participants be part of the community and enjoy their favorite activities.
• Support participants with developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
• Assist individuals with personal hygiene.
• Support individuals who may have behavioral challenges and other complex needs.
