About The Position

Sevita is hiring a Group Home Caregiver in Wilkes-Barre to support people with developmental goals and complex needs. Caregivers assist with personal hygiene, help participants build skills such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition, and support their involvement in the community and favorite activities. The role involves building meaningful relationships with participants and may include working with individuals who display physical or verbal aggression. Caregivers must be willing to transport clients in a company van. The listed full-time schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, for 40 hours per week. New hires must attend one week of paid orientation, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Pay is $16 per hour. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
A valid driver's license held for at least 12 months after receiving a permit or intermediate license.
Willingness to transport clients in a company van.
Willingness to work with individuals who may display physical and verbal aggression.
Communication, adaptability, multitasking, teamwork, and time-management skills.
Patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible.
Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

Nice To Haves

Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination is preferred.
