About The Position

The Ground Service Agent works on the airport ramp at dnata USA’s IAD Airport location in Dulles, Virginia. The role supports safe, timely, and efficient flight operations by guiding aircraft to and from gates, handling passenger bags and cargo, operating ground support equipment, and coordinating with ground personnel and flight crews. Employees may cross-train in related functions, including cabin cleaning, cargo handling, and passenger services, with opportunities to develop into lead, trainer, or operations supervisor roles or pursue other dnata divisions.

Requirements

Valid state driver’s license.
Ability to obtain FAA- and airport-required authorizations.
Ability to pass SIDA airport clearance and all required training tests.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn new systems and equipment.
Reliability, teamwork, and willingness to take on new challenges.

Responsibilities

Guide inbound and outbound airplanes to and from gates.
Lift, load, unload, and transport passenger bags and cargo to and from aircraft, carts, dollies, and conveyors.
Drive and/or operate ground support equipment such as tow tractors, belt loaders, and baggage tugs.
Maintain safety and security on the ramp by following dnata safety procedures.
Communicate efficiently with ground personnel and flight crews.
Work collaboratively with other departments.
Follow federal, state, airport, and company regulations and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned, including cross-training in related functions such as cabin cleaning, cargo handling, or passenger services.
Engage in physical activity, including standing, lifting, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods.
Safely handle up to 70 pounds regularly and ascend and descend jetway stairs while carrying baggage.
Work outdoors in all types of weather and around active aircraft and machinery.
