Ground Service Agent
About The Position
The Ground Service Agent supports safe, timely, and efficient flight operations at dnata USA’s DFW Airport location in Dallas, Texas. The role handles aircraft guidance, baggage and cargo movement, ground support equipment, ramp safety, and coordination with ground personnel and flight crews. Employees may cross-train in related functions, including cabin cleaning, cargo handling, and passenger services, and may gain exposure to other airport operations. The posting describes potential career progression to Lead Agent, Trainer, Operations Supervisor, or roles in cargo, passenger service, and flight operations.
Requirements
- Valid state driver’s license and ability to obtain FAA- or airport-required authorizations.
- Ability to pass SIDA airport clearance and all required training tests.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn new systems and equipment.
- Reliability, teamwork, and a desire to take on new challenges.

Responsibilities
- Guide inbound and outbound airplanes to and from gates.
- Lift, load, unload, and transport passenger bags and cargo to and from aircraft, carts, dollies, and conveyors.
- Drive and/or operate ground support equipment such as tow tractors, belt loaders, and baggage tugs.
- Maintain safety and security on the ramp by following dnata’s safety procedures.
- Communicate efficiently with ground personnel and flight crews.
- Work collaboratively with other departments.
- Follow federal, state, airport, and company regulations and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including cross-training in related functions such as cabin cleaning, cargo handling, or passenger services.
- Stand, lift, bend, stoop, push, and pull for extended periods; handle up to 70 pounds regularly and ascend and descend jetway stairs while carrying baggage.
- Work outdoors in all types of weather and around active aircraft and machinery.
