About The Position

Stauffers of Kissel Hill is hiring a full-time Grocery Shift Supervisor at its Lititz Pike Fresh Foods location. The role requires availability during the day, evenings, and weekends. The supervisor supports department operations, product handling and merchandising, customer orders, inventory, and coverage of supervisory duties when the Department Manager and Assistant Department Manager are absent. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Must be available to work days, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

Clean the department, including equipment, containers, storage areas, aisles, and display cases, and keep products and supplies organized.
Operate equipment when needed, if over 18 years of age.
Operate price scales using current prices and price or change merchandise tags based on price lists in coordination with the scan department.
Receive, open, and unpack merchandise; check invoices against items received; and promptly clear restocking equipment and debris from the floor.
Prepare, package, and rotate products according to departmental guidelines.
Set up and sign merchandise displays to attract customers and promote sales.
Take and process customer orders according to customer requests and ensure products are ready on time.
Take inventory or regularly examine merchandise to identify items needing reorder or replenishment.
Assist the department manager with labor, gross profit, and inventory-control budgets.
Assist with regularly scheduled departmental inventories.
Help supervise the department when the Department Manager and Assistant Department Manager are absent, including assigning duties and scheduling breaks.
Assist with training workers in store policies, departmental procedures, and job duties.
Communicate performance and training problems to the department manager.
Coordinate vendor invoices, SKH invoices, and inter-company transfers daily to ensure timely billing.
Fully understand label and scale systems.
