Golf Associate
About The Position
The Golf Associate welcomes guests, introduces them to the property and venue, checks them in, provides the tools needed to play, answers questions, and assists with course rules and the PopStroke app. The role serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, beer, wine, and ice cream at the golf counter, assists with retail purchases, and keeps the golf shop stocked and organized. Associates maintain cleanliness across the golf courses, shop areas, and restrooms; restock shop stations and restrooms; and respond professionally to calls and inquiries about the venue, pricing, membership, and golf-related information. They process cash and credit transactions accurately, balance cash drawers, use the POS system, and follow security protocols. The position involves working indoors and outdoors and collaborating with teammates to create a memorable guest experience. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
- Must have excellent communication and guest service skills.
- Must have strong teamwork skills.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel, and reach for long periods.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 lbs.
Nice To Haves
- Previous guest service, retail, or hospitality experience in a high-volume environment.
- Prior POS system experience.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests on arrival and acquaint them with the property.
- Explain the venue, check guests in, equip them with tools to play, and answer questions.
- Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, beer, wine, and ice cream at the golf counter.
- Assist guests with retail purchases.
- Keep the golf shop fully stocked.
- Remove trash and maintain organization of the golf shop and golf courses.
- Ensure golf courses and golf shop areas, including restrooms, are clean; restock golf shop stations and restrooms.
- Answer phone calls and inquiries about the venue, pricing, membership, and other golf-related information professionally and courteously.
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately, balance cash drawers, use the POS system accurately, and maintain security protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to provide a memorable guest experience.
- Assist guests with play, course rules, and the PopStroke app.
- Work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
