About The Position

Syngenta Seeds Field Crops is seeking a Golden Harvest Sales Representative for East Central South Dakota, covering Beadle, Hand, and Spink Counties. The role supports Syngenta’s mission of safely feeding the world and caring for the planet by providing farmers access to a broad portfolio of seed hybrids and solutions. The representative builds customer relationships, develops reseller partners, creates product demand, and grows territory sales. The candidate must live within the territory.

Requirements

Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Agriculture; alternatively, a degree in a non-agriculture discipline with significant farming industry background or commensurate experience.
At least 2 years in sales or sales leadership, with the ability to work independently on a virtual team.
Strong customer focus and demonstrated sales and negotiation skills.
Must live in the territory.

Agricultural sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide access to the industry’s broadest and most diverse portfolio of hybrids.
Recruit, develop, and manage a team of professional resellers.
Use consultative selling, recognized expertise, and customer trust to serve customers.
Deliver plans and offers to targeted customers through selected channel partners.
Create demand at the customer level by ensuring customers understand Syngenta products and are interested in its solutions.
Coach Seed Advisors on product placement to improve customer satisfaction.
Manage the operational budget, variable selling expenses, and marketing funds within district guidelines.
Develop territory-level business plans and Seed Advisor business plans that identify opportunities, must-wins, and tactics to grow territory sales.
