About The Position

Syngenta Seeds Field Crops is seeking a Golden Harvest Sales Representative for East Central South Dakota, covering Beadle, Hand, and Spink Counties. The representative will provide customers access to Syngenta’s broad portfolio of hybrids, build and manage a team of professional resellers, and develop territory and Seed Advisor business plans to grow sales. The role focuses on consultative customer relationships, creating demand for Syngenta products, coaching Seed Advisors on product placement, and managing territory budgets and selling expenses.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Agriculture; alternatively, a degree in a non-Agriculture discipline with significant farming industry background or commensurate experience.
• At least 2 years in sales or sales leadership.
• Ability to work independently on a virtual team.
• Strong customer focus and demonstrated sales and negotiation skills.
• Must live in the territory.

• Agricultural sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide access to the industry’s broadest and most diverse portfolio of hybrids.
• Recruit, develop, and manage a team of professional resellers.
• Use consultative selling, recognized expertise, and customer trust to support sales.
• Deliver plans and offers to targeted customers through selected channel partners.
• Create customer-level demand by informing customers about products and building interest in Syngenta solutions.
• Coach Seed Advisors on product placement to improve customer satisfaction.
• Manage the operational budget, variable selling expenses, and marketing funds within district guidelines.
• Develop a territory-level business plan and Seed Advisor business plans identifying opportunities, must-wins, and tactics to grow territory sales.
