About The Position

Syngenta Seeds Field Crops is seeking a Golden Harvest Sales Representative for East Central South Dakota, covering Beadle, Hand, and Spink Counties. The role supports Syngenta’s mission to help feed the world and care for the planet by bringing its seed portfolio and solutions to farmers. The representative provides access to a broad portfolio of hybrids, develops reseller relationships, builds customer demand, and grows territory sales. The candidate must live in the territory.

Requirements

Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Agriculture; alternatively, a degree in a non-agriculture discipline with a significant farming industry background or commensurate experience.
At least 2 years of experience in sales or sales leadership.
Ability to work independently on a virtual team.
Strong customer focus and demonstrated sales and negotiation skills.
Must live in the territory.

Agricultural sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customers access to Syngenta’s broad and diverse portfolio of hybrids.
Recruit, develop, and manage a team of professional resellers.
Use consultative selling, recognized expertise, and customer trust to support sales.
Deliver plans and offers to targeted customers through selected channel partners.
Create demand at the customer level by building product knowledge and interest in Syngenta solutions.
Coach Seed Advisors on product placement to improve customer satisfaction.
Manage the operational budget, variable selling expenses, and marketing funds within district guidelines.
Develop territory-level business plans and Seed Advisor business plans identifying opportunities, must-wins, and tactics to grow territory sales.
