About The Position

This full-time, four-month co-op position is within the Fund Administration group in Global Wealth & Asset Management Operations. The role supports day-to-day trading activities and strategic initiatives, working with onshore teams in Boston and offshore partners to help ensure accurate, timely, and efficient fund operations. It provides exposure to trading processes, cross-functional stakeholders, and project-based work in a fast-paced asset management environment. The co-op runs from January 5, 2027, through April 22, 2027. Participants also gain early access to Manulife John Hancock’s GRO early talent program, which is tailored to graduating students and provides support, structure, and career development opportunities.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with global teams.

Responsibilities

Support daily trading operations, including trade lifecycle processing, reconciliation, and issue resolution.
Ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions across assigned funds.
Partner with internal trading, portfolio management, and operations teams to resolve breaks and exceptions.
Assist in maintaining operational controls and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
Participate in operational and strategic projects, including process improvements, system enhancements, and workflow automation.
Support testing, implementation, and documentation of new processes or platforms.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify operational risks and efficiency opportunities.
