About The Position

The Glazier and Flat Glass Technician installs and repairs flat glass products for residential and business customers, helping make homes and businesses safe and presentable. Requirements

• At least one year of glass installation experience; glass cutting experience is preferred.
• Knowledge and understanding of the basic tools of the trade.
• Must be insurable and have a valid driver's license and clean driving record to drive a company vehicle.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds independently.
• Comfortable working at heights and using ladders and lifts.
• Comfortable using mobile technology and digital software.
• Prior job experience must be verifiable through reference checks.
• Strong attention to detail, including accurate measurements to a fraction of an inch.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work scheduled shifts, including Monday mornings.
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service and make appropriate recommendations to customers.

Responsibilities

• Install flat glass products for doors, storefronts, windows, showers, mirrors, tabletops, and other glass-related items.
• Perform repairs as necessary.
• Cut glass to size for custom projects.
• Take precise measurements to ensure materials meet specified dimensions.
• Evaluate the customer's home or business to identify additional needs.
• Explain needed services to customers and help put them at ease.
• Collect payment from customers for work performed.
• Complete scheduled jobs on time.
• Provide high-quality customer service and craftsmanship.
