About The Position

The Glazier and Flat Glass Technician installs and repairs flat glass products for residential and business customers, helping ensure their homes and businesses are safe and look good. The role combines glass installation and craftsmanship with high-quality customer service. Glass Doctor provides training, tools, and processes to support success, and offers opportunities to grow within the organization. Technicians take precise measurements, cut glass for custom projects, explain recommended services, assess customers’ properties for additional needs, and collect payment. The company schedules the work, while technicians are expected to complete jobs on schedule. The role may involve working solo, using ladders and lifts, and handling heavy glass.

Requirements

At least one year of glass installation experience.
Knowledge and understanding of the basic tools of the trade.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; must be insurable to drive a company vehicle.
Ability to lift 50 pounds independently.
Comfort working at heights and using ladders and lifts.
Comfort using mobile technology and digital software.
Prior job experience must be verifiable through reference checks.
High attention to detail and ability to take highly accurate measurements.
Reliable attendance, including Monday mornings.

Responsibilities

Install flat glass products for doors, storefronts, windows, showers, mirrors, tabletops, and other glass-related items.
Perform repairs as necessary.
Cut glass to size for custom projects.
Take precise measurements to ensure materials meet specified dimensions.
Evaluate the customer’s home or business to identify other needs.
Explain services and recommendations to customers and help put them at ease.
Collect payment from customers for work performed.
Complete scheduled jobs on schedule.
Provide exceptional customer service and a high-quality customer experience.
