About The Position

The Gift Shop Clerk provides customer service and maintains a clean working environment while following established policies and procedures and applicable state and federal laws and regulations. The position is part-time and located at Nooksack Northwood Casino in Lynden, Washington.

The role reports to the Operations Manager and Store Manager, with Store Supervisors and Casino Managers also identified in the reporting relationships. The clerk interacts with department managers and directors, the General Manager, vendors, casino personnel, and customers.

Requirements

• Obtain and maintain a valid Non-Gaming Nooksack Tribal Gaming Agency License.
• Obtain and maintain TIPS for Off-Premises Certification.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds overhead.
• Be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and perform similar movements.

Nice To Haves

• Previous cash-handling experience.
• Previous customer-service experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and make customer service a priority.
• Conduct convenience-store sales accurately and efficiently according to established policies and procedures.
• Secure register funds at all times, including making timely cash drops to keep the cash drawer at or below its maximum level.
• Maintain appropriate stock and merchandise in the work area to support efficient customer service while operating the cash register.
• Follow company and department policies and procedures and maintain positive customer and employee relations.
• Provide accurate and timely documentation and reporting of department activities and status when requested.
• Keep the store and work area clean, neat, and professional, including sweeping and vacuuming.
• Maintain a professional, neat appearance and represent the company positively.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.
