General Surgeon - Fredericksburg, TX
About The Position
National Wound Physician Group is hiring a General Surgeon to provide bedside wound management in post-acute care settings, including Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals. Physicians conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility, typically visiting 2–3 facilities and treating approximately 20–30 patients per day within a 40–60 mile radius of the practice location. Clinical documentation is completed in real time at the point of care using a proprietary wound-specific EMR. The role offers full-time or part-time work, with full-time schedules of 4–5 weekdays per week and part-time work requiring at least 3 weekdays per week. The listed schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. There are no nights, call responsibilities, or weekend clinical responsibilities. Paid onboarding training and a six-month wound care fellowship are provided. Physicians receive physician-level wound management training from wound-certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors and use current wound care technologies and modalities.
Requirements
- Hold a full, active, unrestricted MD or DO medical license in the state where practicing.
- Commit to at least 3 weekdays per week, Monday through Friday.
