General Production - MATERIAL HANDLING
About The Position
This entry-level, non-skilled general labor position works in any department of the Material Handling facility. The role requires maintaining a safe work environment and following Tyson policies and procedures. Work involves constant box handling and may include minimal use of handheld scanners. Candidates must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. The facility operates 24/7. Days off vary, and shifts include Sundays and some major holidays. The position is on A Shift. Previous Tyson employees are subject to a 180-day rehire waiting period and a three-time limit.
Requirements
- Willingness to repeatedly push, pull, lift, and carry up to 100 pounds or more if required.
- Ability and willingness to work in extreme cold or heat, in temperatures from 33 to 100 degrees.
- Ability and willingness to work in dry environments and above shoulder level.
- Ability and willingness to walk or stand for 8–12 hours a day on concrete floors or grating.
- Ability and willingness to work in areas up to five stories tall with open-grade flooring where the ground level is visible.
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
