About The Position

This entry-level, non-skilled general labor position works in any department of the Material Handling facility. Team members are responsible for maintaining a safe work environment and following Tyson policies and procedures. Work involves constant box handling and may include minimal use of handheld scanners. The role requires working in dry environments and in temperatures ranging from 33 to 100 degrees, as well as working at heights of up to five stories on open-grade flooring where the ground level is visible. The department operates 24/7, including Sundays and some major holidays; days off vary. Candidates who previously worked for Tyson are subject to a 180-day rehire waiting period and a three-time limit. Applicants must complete an additional task after submitting an application to be considered. Successful candidates must be able to perform the job’s physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

Willingness to repeatedly push, pull, lift, and carry up to 100 pounds or more if required.
Ability or willingness to work in extreme cold or heat, from 33 to 100 degrees, in dry environments.
Willingness to work above shoulder level.
Willingness to walk and stand for 8–12 hours per day on concrete floors or grating.
Willingness to work at heights of up to five stories on open-grade flooring where the ground level is visible.
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Perform general labor tasks in any department of the Material Handling facility.
Handle boxes throughout the work area, including repeatedly pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying loads of up to 100 pounds or more when required.

Use handheld scanners minimally when required.
