About The Position

This entry-level, non-skilled general labor position is based in the Material Handling facility. The employee may work in any department and is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment while following Tyson policies and procedures. Work involves constant box handling and may require repeatedly pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying loads of up to 100 pounds or more. Employees must be willing to work in temperatures ranging from 33 to 100 degrees, in dry environments, above shoulder level, and at heights of up to five stories on open-grade flooring where the ground level is visible. The role may involve minimal use of handheld scanners. The department operates 24/7, including Sundays and some major holidays, and days off vary. The successful candidate must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. Former Tyson employees are subject to a 180-day rehire waiting period and a three-time limit.

Requirements

Willingness to perform physically demanding work, including repeatedly pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying up to 100 pounds or more.
Willingness to work in temperatures ranging from 33 to 100 degrees and in dry environments.
Willingness to work above shoulder level and walk or stand for 8–12 hours a day on concrete floors or grating.
Willingness to work in areas up to five stories tall with open-grade flooring where ground level is visible.
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities
