About The Position

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented General Manager for the Hilton Garden Inn Albany Airport. The role leads hotel operations while fostering SHG’s service culture, prioritizing the needs of guests and associates, and supporting a positive, employee-focused workplace. The General Manager is responsible for financial performance, staffing, guest satisfaction, property maintenance and preservation, safety, and compliance with brand standards and applicable regulations. The position may involve a hiring process that includes interviews, screening, reference checks, and a potential employment assessment.

Responsibilities

• Manage budgets and financial plans and control expenditure.
• Maintain statistical and financial records.
• Set and achieve sales and profit targets.
• Recruit, train, and monitor staff.
• Plan work schedules for individuals and teams.
• Respond appropriately to and resolve guest concerns.
• Address problems and troubleshoot.
• Ensure events and conferences run smoothly.
• Preserve hotel assets, including supervising maintenance, supplies, renovations, and furnishings.
• Maintain relationships with contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests and associates.
• Conduct appropriate property inspections as identified by the organization and brand.
• Ensure the property meets brand guidelines and expectations for service and standards.
• Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety requirements, and other statutory regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet business objectives.
