About The Position

Tire Discounters is hiring a General Manager to lead a store team, provide exceptional customer service, achieve sales and profit goals, and ensure smooth store operations. The role requires leadership, people skills, and retail experience, and serves as the face of the store. The General Manager develops the team, upholds company policies and standards, supports the local community, and maintains a clean and welcoming store environment. The position may require stepping in for absent team members as needed.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of management experience.
• Strong retail sales experience.
• Excellent telephone, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle pressure and multitask effectively.
• Valid in-state driver’s license.
• Availability to work Saturdays.
• Authorized to work in the USA and at least 18 years old.

Nice To Haves

• A.S.E. Certifications 4 and 5 are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop a strong sense of team by setting and communicating location goals and objectives.
• Meet and exceed sales goals through the development of self and team members.
• Ensure company policies and standards are followed to deliver a “WOW” experience to customers.
• Maintain knowledge of and presence in the supported community.
• Implement and enforce company policies, programs, and procedures, including work-order and invoice policies.
• Attract, hire, train, and retain engaged team members at the assigned location.
• Manage team schedules according to company guidelines, business needs, and payroll controls; ensure weekly timecard and wage-and-hour compliance.
• Protect company assets, cash, inventory, equipment, systems, and documents.
• Assist with absent team members’ duties as needed.
• Ensure compliance with state, local, and federal laws.
• Delegate authority and ownership of functions as appropriate.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and welcoming environment for customers and team members.
