General Manager, Residential Home Services

Sitreps•Savannah, GA
•Onsite

About The Position

The General Manager will run a residential heating, air conditioning, and plumbing business serving Savannah and Coastal Georgia. This is an on-site operator role with ownership of the business’s P&L, leadership team, operating standards, and growth trajectory. The business is part of a national, private equity-backed home-services platform that provides shared services, established playbooks, and capital for growth. The role requires a leader who takes ownership of results, sets and enforces operating standards, and leads teams performing physically demanding work. Industry experience is not required. Candidates who are close to qualifying for a GM role may also be considered for an Assistant General Manager track. The company will be disclosed to qualified candidates after a mutual NDA.

Requirements

  • A track record of owning a P&L or running an operation where results were measured, in any industry.
  • Experience leading frontline teams, such as crews, technicians, or operators, and earning their trust.
  • A self-directed operator’s instinct to find solutions, implement them, and verify they worked.
  • Financial fluency, including the ability to read a P&L, identify performance issues, and address them.
  • A bias toward action and an ownership mentality rather than focusing only on reporting activity.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to the Savannah area.

Nice To Haves

  • Multi-site or general management experience in home services, field services, or another service business.
  • Prior military leadership followed by civilian operating experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, and growth targets.
  • Oversee the service and installation model, including call booking, dispatch efficiency, technician productivity, average ticket, close rate, callbacks, and membership growth.
  • Lead service and installation managers, dispatchers, customer service representatives, and field technicians through hiring, coaching, and performance standards.
  • Manage technician recruiting, retention, and pay structure in a competitive coastal labor market.
  • Implement the platform’s proven standard operating procedures and verify their adoption.
  • Oversee licensing, permitting, safety, and fleet across the service area.
  • Conduct forecasting, budgeting, and performance reviews with platform leadership.

Benefits

  • $180,000 to $220,000 base salary, plus an annual bonus and a long-term incentive.
