About The Position

The General Manager oversees all aspects of dispensary operations. The role provides leadership and strategic direction to the team, ensures regulatory compliance, manages inventory and financial performance, supports sales goals, and fosters a culture of excellence. The General Manager collaborates with people across the company to achieve shared objectives. This is a full-time role at the LivWell location in Garden City, Colorado. Store hours vary by location and include seven days a week, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. The schedule varies according to business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The position requires lifting 25 pounds or more multiple times per day and obtaining and maintaining an active Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) badge.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a retail management position.
- Proven retail management experience; cannabis industry experience is preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Demonstrated people-management and development skills.
- Strong customer-service expertise, including experience supervising retail associates and handling invoices and cash.
- Professionalism, punctuality, trustworthiness, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency with business technologies, hardware, and software, including HR systems for timesheet management, time clocks, POS systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds or more multiple times per day.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) badge in Colorado.
- Availability for a variable schedule that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the dispensary team.
- Ensure daily operations exceed performance metrics and customer expectations.
- Oversee product merchandising and maintain an attractive, organized store layout.
- Develop and implement staff schedules to meet business needs and support excellent customer service.
- Monitor and improve supply-chain logistics to optimize product availability and reduce stockouts.
- Ensure adherence to state and local cannabis regulations.
- Develop and maintain compliance protocols, including record-keeping.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Keep current with changes in cannabis laws and ensure staff comply with those changes.
- Train and mentor staff to cultivate professionalism and expertise.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Implement training programs to keep staff informed about products and regulations.
- Foster a motivated, high-performance team focused on customer satisfaction.
- Develop and manage the dispensary budget, analyzing revenue and expenses.
- Monitor and report on key financial performance indicators.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support overall operations.
