About The Position

The Budtender plays an integral role in providing exceptional customer service, offering in-depth product knowledge, and ensuring a positive and educational shopping experience. The role calls for enthusiasm for cannabis products, dedication to compliance, and a commitment to creating a welcoming environment that promotes responsible and informed consumption. This is a part-time retail position at the LivWell location in Denver (RiNo), Colorado. Compensation is $19.84 per hour plus variable tips.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in cash handling and accurate basic math calculations.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. or more multiple times per day.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) badge in Colorado.
• Availability for a schedule that varies according to business needs; stores operate seven days a week, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail or customer service experience.
• Knowledge of cannabis and its products.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers professionally, listen to their preferences and needs, and provide personalized product recommendations.
• Educate customers about cannabis products, including their advantages, potential effects, and safe consumption methods.
• Keep the store neat and appealing and maintain organized product displays.
• Stay informed about industry trends, product releases, and regulations to provide accurate information.
• Manage cash transactions and use the point-of-sale system to process sales.
• Follow company policies and procedures and comply with state and local regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to foster a positive, customer-focused work atmosphere.
• Support the Management Team with store activities, customer assistance, checkouts, and cash handling.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Management Team.
