About The Position

Vireo Health of Rocky Mountain is hiring a part-time Budtender at its Livwell location in Cortez, Colorado. The role provides exceptional customer service, in-depth product knowledge, and a positive, educational shopping experience. The Budtender helps customers make informed choices about cannabis products and supports responsible consumption while maintaining compliance and a welcoming store environment. The position pays $15.71 per hour plus variable tips. Schedules vary with business needs. Stores operate seven days a week, with hours varying by location between 8:00 a.m. and 11:45 p.m. The role requires the ability to obtain and maintain an active Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) badge.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in cash handling and accurate basic math calculations.
Reliable, punctual, and possesses a strong work ethic.
Ability to lift 25 lbs. or more multiple times per day.
Ability to obtain and maintain an active Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) badge in Colorado.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
Knowledge of cannabis and its products is a plus.

Responsibilities

Welcome customers professionally and listen to their preferences and needs.
Provide product insights and personalized recommendations.
Educate customers about product advantages, potential effects, and safe consumption methods.
Keep the store neat, visually appealing, and product displays organized.
Stay informed about industry trends, product releases, and changing regulations.
Process sales using the point-of-sale system and handle cash transactions efficiently.
Follow company policies and procedures and comply with state and local regulations.
Collaborate with team members to foster a positive, customer-centric work environment.
Support the Management Team with store activities, customer assistance, checkouts, and cash handling.
Perform other duties assigned by the Management Team.
