About The Position

Vireo Health of Rocky Mountain is hiring a part-time Budtender at its LivWell location in Garden City, Colorado. The Budtender provides exceptional customer service, offers knowledgeable and personalized cannabis product recommendations, and helps create a positive, educational shopping experience that promotes responsible and informed consumption. The role also supports store presentation, sales processing, regulatory compliance, and teamwork with store colleagues and the Management Team.

Compensation is $15.71 per hour, plus variable tips. The schedule varies according to business needs. Stores operate seven days a week, with hours varying by location; the listed operating hours are 8:00 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. The role requires obtaining and maintaining an active Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) badge and the ability to lift 25 pounds or more multiple times per day.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) badge in Colorado.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in cash handling and accurate basic math calculations.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds or more multiple times per day.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in retail or customer service preferred.
• Knowledge of cannabis and cannabis products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers professionally, listen to their preferences and needs, and provide personalized product recommendations.
• Educate customers about cannabis products, potential effects, benefits, and safe consumption methods.
• Keep the store neat, appealing, and organized, including maintaining product displays.
• Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and changing regulations.
• Handle cash transactions and use the point-of-sale system to process sales.
• Follow company policies and procedures and comply with state and local regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to foster a positive, customer-focused workplace.
• Support the Management Team with store activities, customer assistance, checkouts, and cash handling.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Management Team.
