About The Position

The General Manager is the leader of an AutoNation store, overseeing New and Used Sales, Financial Services, and After-Sales, including Service, Parts, and Collision. The role drives store performance by attracting, developing, and retaining talent and creating an exceptional buying and ownership experience for customers. The General Manager sets a vision and goals for the store, leads day-to-day operations, and works to achieve targeted performance across the business. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Automotive retail General Manager experience.
• Ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
• Proven ability to attract, develop, and retain talent.
• Strong financial and business acumen, with the ability to drive revenue and profitability.
• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organization and follow-up skills.
• Experience and desire to work with technology.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record that can be maintained.

• Develop and maintain productive relationships with manufacturer partners.
• Analyze the business to identify shortfalls and develop action plans to improve performance.
• Drive the business through a high level of involvement in day-to-day operations.
