About The Position

The Accounting Manager develops controls necessary for the proper conduct of the business, maintains accurate records, and establishes and maintains data-processing capabilities to accomplish the dealership’s objectives. The role supports dealership accounting operations, financial reporting, cash management, payroll administration, reconciliations, and audit preparation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in a dealership office position.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Working knowledge of dealership financial statements.
• Ability to explain technical financial information in an understandable manner.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Working knowledge of most accounting office positions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing financial statements in accordance with established timelines.
• Interpret and analyze financial statements.
• Maintain an effective cash management system.
• Approve adjustments to inventory, cost of sales (COS), and expense accounts.
• Administer payroll policies.
• Prepare reconciliations for all accounts and physical inventories.
• Automate systems where possible and establish controls.
• Maintain and post monthly standard entries.
• Work with office staff to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Reconcile all accounts prior to month-end.
• Assist in completing annual reviews and audits.
• Complete assigned end-of-month accounting reports.
• Prepare a daily cash report.
• Set up and maintain expense accruals.
• Run and review monthly expense trend reports.
