About The Position

The General Manager leads a Tire Discounters store, serving as its public-facing leader and overseeing customer service, sales and profit goals, and day-to-day operations. The role focuses on building and developing the team, delivering the company's customer experience, maintaining compliance with company standards and applicable laws, and protecting store assets.

Requirements

Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
At least 2 years of management experience.
Strong retail sales experience.
Excellent telephone, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to handle pressure and multitask effectively.
Valid in-state driver's license.
Availability to work Saturdays.
Authorized to work in the USA and at least 18 years old.

Nice To Haves

A.S.E. Certifications 4 and 5 are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Build a strong team at the location by setting and communicating goals and objectives.
Meet and exceed sales goals through development of self and team members.
Ensure company policies and standards are followed to deliver a “WOW” experience to customers.
Maintain knowledge of and a presence in the supported community.
Implement and enforce company policies, programs, and procedures, including work-order and invoice policies.
Attract, hire, train, and retain engaged team members at all levels.
Manage team schedules in line with company guidelines, business needs, and payroll controls; ensure weekly timecard and wage-and-hour compliance.
Protect company assets, including cash, inventory, equipment, systems, and documents.
Assist with absent team members’ duties as needed.
Ensure compliance with state, local, and federal laws.
Delegate authority and ownership of functions as appropriate.
Maintain a neat, clean, and welcoming environment for customers and team members.
