About The Position

The General Manager III - Distribution oversees warehouse operations and develops strategies to optimize processes, control costs, and improve productivity. The role leads Operations Managers and staff, supports team development, and ensures a safe, clean, compliant, and efficient working environment. The General Manager uses warehouse management systems, automation, and other technology to monitor inventory and performance, and manages vendor relationships and site operations in accordance with the commercial agreement. The position is responsible for the site's profit and loss, which is directly influenced by customer relationships. It maintains close daily contact with the customer, prepares and presents Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews, and uses performance, inventory, and other reports to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement. The role requires knowledge of both the customer's SAP v23 system for ingredients and components and DHL Blue Yonder 2023.1 for finished goods.

Requirements

At least 5 years of managerial or supervisory experience.
At least 2 years of experience in supply chain, warehousing, or distribution.
Staff management experience.
Knowledge of the customer's SAP v23 system for ingredients and components and DHL Blue Yonder 2023.1 for finished goods.

Nice To Haves

Experience in Third Party Logistics (3PL) and/or Contract Logistics.
P&L management experience.
Project management experience.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) experience.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods efficiently and accurately.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse processes, minimize costs, and maximize productivity.
Lead, motivate, coach, and support Operations Managers and staff, while developing a strong team culture.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies and oversee facility operations and personnel activities to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.
Use warehouse management systems, automation, and other technology to track inventory, monitor performance metrics, and identify improvement opportunities.
Manage vendor relationships and ensure cost-effective services and supplies while operating the site according to the commercial agreement.
Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics to support decisions and continuous improvement.
Maintain close daily contact with the customer to build strong relationships and support customer satisfaction.
Manage the site's profit and loss.
Prepare and present Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews to the customer in collaboration with the team.
