About The Position

The General Manager II oversees warehouse operations at DHL Supply Chain, ensuring goods are received, stored, and shipped efficiently and accurately. The role develops and implements strategies to optimize processes, minimize costs, and maximize productivity. It leads Operations Managers and staff, supports their development, and fosters a strong team culture and a safe, clean, and efficient working environment. The General Manager uses warehouse management systems, automation, and other technology to track inventory and performance, manages vendor relationships and site operations in accordance with the commercial agreement, and analyzes performance reports to support decisions and continuous improvement. The role maintains close daily contact with customers, is responsible for the site's profit and loss, and prepares and presents Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews with team collaboration. Requirements

At least 5 years of managerial or supervisory experience.
At least 2 years of experience in a supply chain, warehousing, or distribution environment.
Staff management experience.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred.
Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is preferred.

Nice To Haves

Experience in Third Party Logistics (3PL) and/or Contract Logistics.
P&L management experience.
Project management experience.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods efficiently and accurately.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse processes, minimize costs, and maximize productivity.
Lead, motivate, coach, and support Operations Managers and staff, while developing a strong team culture.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, and oversee operational and personnel activities to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient facility.
Use warehouse management systems (WMS), automation, and other technology to track inventory, monitor performance metrics, and identify improvement opportunities.
Manage vendor relationships and ensure cost-effective services and supplies while operating the site in accordance with the commercial agreement.
Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement.
Maintain close daily customer contact to build strong relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
Manage the site's profit and loss (P&L).
Prepare and present Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews (MBR/QBR) to the customer, using strong team collaboration.
