About The Position

The General Manager I oversees warehouse operations at DHL Supply Chain, ensuring the efficient and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of goods. The role develops and implements strategies to optimize processes, control costs, and improve productivity. It leads and develops Operations Managers and other staff, promotes a strong team culture, and maintains a safe, clean, and efficient working environment in compliance with safety regulations and company policies. The General Manager uses warehouse management systems, automation, and other technology to track inventory and performance, identify improvement opportunities, and support operational decisions. The role manages vendors and site operations in accordance with the commercial agreement, prepares and analyzes performance and inventory reports, and leads customer relationships through close daily contact. It is responsible for site profit and loss and for preparing and presenting Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews to customers. DHL Supply Chain describes its business-casual environment as focused on teamwork, associate development, training, and continuous improvement. The position has a national salary range of $120,000–$155,000 and is onsite.

Requirements

5+ years of managerial or supervisory experience.
2+ years of experience in a supply chain, warehousing, or distribution environment.
Staff management experience.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred.
Experience in Third Party Logistics (3PL) and/or Contract Logistics is preferred.
P&L management experience is preferred.
Project management experience is preferred.
Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods efficiently and accurately.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse processes, minimize costs, and maximize productivity.
Lead, motivate, coach, and support Operations Managers and staff, while developing a strong team culture.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, and oversee operational and personnel activities to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient facility.
Use warehouse management systems (WMS), automation, and other technology to track inventory, monitor performance metrics, and identify improvement opportunities.
Manage vendor relationships and ensure cost-effective services and supplies while operating the site in accordance with the commercial agreement.
Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
Lead customer relationships through close daily contact to support strong connections and customer satisfaction.
Manage the site's profit and loss (P&L), which is directly influenced by customer relationships.
Prepare and present Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews (MBR/QBR) to customers, leveraging team collaboration.
