About The Position

Lewis Brisbois is seeking an attorney to join its General Liability Practice in the Reno, Nevada office. The practice includes more than 600 attorneys nationwide and represents businesses and individuals, including insured and self-insured defendants, in property and personal injury claims. The firm handles a wide range of matters and focuses on litigation and trials involving catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and complex litigation. Its partners and senior associates are experienced trial attorneys, and the practice has received notable recognition for defense verdicts. The firm is also interested in talented developing attorneys with strong litigation skills in any litigation area, including candidates who have not yet developed insurance defense experience. Requirements

Admission to the Nevada Bar is required.
Two to fifteen years of experience in all phases of insurance defense litigation, including case management, motion practice, discovery, hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
Strong research and writing skills.
Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Nice To Haves

Insurance defense experience is preferred.
Litigation experience in any area is suitable for developing talented attorneys.

Responsibilities

Handle all phases of insurance defense litigation, including case management, motion practice, and discovery.
Handle hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
Represent defendants in general liability matters, including property and personal injury claims.
