About The Position

The Gatehouse Attendant (Night) monitors shipping and receiving access control to support the security and safety of personnel. The role also performs data entry and distributes reports to help ensure BEK operational efficiencies are met and maintained. The stated normal schedule is 12:45 PM–9:15 PM, Monday through Friday, and applicants must be able to work this schedule.

Requirements

• At least 3 months of work-related experience, or a combination of education and experience.
• Computer and data-entry skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret rules, guidelines, operating instructions, and maintenance instructions.
• Basic data-entry skills, including 10-key by touch.
• Ability to learn and use relevant internal applications.
• Basic math skills, including the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to work in extreme cold and hot temperatures.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Self-starter with ability to multitask.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer-focused approach.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to work the stated Monday–Friday schedule of 12:45 PM–9:15 PM.

• Food service industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Review relevant logs and documentation to ensure daily activities are completed in a timely manner.
• Communicate with relevant personnel to fulfill duties accurately and efficiently.
• Support appropriate security procedures to maintain a safe work environment for BEK personnel.
• Perform other duties as required by management to meet and maintain operational standards.
