Game Guide Seasonal
About The Position
Game Guides are hospitality experts who anticipate guests’ needs, provide enthusiastic service, and help make each visit fun and memorable. They lead groups of 2–12 guests through immersive escape-room games, introducing the experience and connecting with guests of all ages. During gameplay, they use company software to monitor team progress and assist guests. After each game, they celebrate with guests, recap the experience, and reset game components accurately and efficiently. The role is seasonal, starts in November or December, and concludes by January 15, 2027. The position is located at Westfield Century City.
Requirements
- Flexible availability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
- Ability to perform job-related physical activities, including deep cleaning, painting, standing, crawling, bending, lifting 30–40 pounds, and minor game repairs.
- Ability to use small tools and strong magnets when resetting games.
- Ability to reset numerous locks, drawers, shelves, and game components within the time frames established in training.
- Excellent communication skills when speaking with guests.
- Ability to comply with TEG’s Uniform Standards.
Responsibilities
- Embody the company’s mission, vision, and values during every shift.
- Lead groups of 2–12 guests in friendly, engaging conversation.
- Collect information and build meaningful connections with guests.
- Explain the company’s games and products enthusiastically.
- Use Game Guide software to monitor games and assist guests.
- Use the Human-Machine Interface (HMI) to operate games.
- Recap the experience for guests after gameplay.
- Ensure game components function properly.
- Reset games accurately using setup sheets.
- Clean games and the facility.
- Stay on schedule for assigned games through punctuality and effective time management.
- Restock inventory and complete necessary reports.
- Resolve service failures immediately and graciously.
- Help ensure every guest has a five-star experience and leaves happy.
