Game Day Lead (Seattle)

Brodie Rec League•Seattle, WA
•$26 - $30•Onsite

About The Position

The Game Day Lead manages game-night floor operations so the League Manager can focus on relationships with captains, players, and fans. The role ensures the gym is set up according to the site map, streams are live, staff roles are covered, and the crew meets the Brodie Standard. The lead trains and coaches staff, checks their work, and encourages them to resolve issues rather than taking over tasks themselves. When the League Manager is off-site, the Game Day Lead is in charge of league-night operations and the crew, including supporting drop-in athletes and helping convert them to league-night athletes. This position reports to the League Manager and is described as a direct path to that role. Game nights are roughly 6 p.m. to midnight, including weekends, and the lead must be on site for the full night.

  • Ability to upsell or ask for the sale.
  • Comfort with technology setup, including cameras, laptops, Wi-Fi, and streaming apps, and ability to troubleshoot before seeking help.

  • Ensure BallerTV is set up and live on every court before the first game, monitor streams during the night, have operators restore dropped streams, and log issues.
  • Assign roles and rotations to Game Day Operators, Referees, Athlete Highlight Specialists, and media staff; redeploy staff when there are forfeits or no-shows and keep check-in staffed and moving.
  • Address overdue athlete balances before play and escalate issues that are not readily resolved to the League Manager.
  • Keep games starting on time and alert the League Manager in advance if a game is likely to start late.
  • Take charge of league-night operations when the League Manager is off-site, make forfeit calls when teams do not show, and send idle staff home when appropriate.

  • Confirm staff hours reflect who worked and send an end-of-night crew report covering performance, issues, and resolutions.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for operational questions from crew and venue staff, settle disputes where possible, and involve the League Manager for unresolved disputes, injuries, venue conflicts, or captain complaints.
  • Connect with drop-in athletes when the League Manager is off-site, help ensure they have a positive experience, and convert them to league-night athletes.
