About the position
At-Bay is seeking a backend engineer with 5+ years of experience in Python, Java, or Go to work on customer-facing and internal projects. The role involves scaling up web-based and infrastructural software, developing internal security and insurance tools, and solving challenging software problems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in writing well-tested and robust code, working in a modern software environment, and collaborating with other developers to produce high-quality code.
Responsibilities
- Work on a range of customer-facing and internal projects, including scaling up web-based and infrastructural software and internal security and insurance tools
- Directly work on critical matters for the company, building software actively used by the insurance team and customers while solving challenging software problems
- Write well-tested, organized, and robust code to support a rapidly growing organization
- Proactively take on software tasks to efficiently meet the requirements of the international company
- Work in a modern software environment with continuously deployed and integrated code in a cloud-based infrastructure
- Take responsibility for code, quickly respond to bugs, and ensure smooth running of new and existing software
- Communicate and work openly with other developers to solve problems and produce high-quality code
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a backend engineer in Python (preferred), Java, or Go
- Experience in front-end development
- Ability to work on customer-facing and internal projects
- Experience in scaling up web-based and infrastructural software
- Knowledge of internal security and insurance tools
- Strong coding skills with the ability to write well-tested, organized, and robust code
- Proactive approach to software tasks and efficient turnaround
- Familiarity with modern software environment and cloud-based infrastructure
- Ability to take responsibility for code and quickly respond to bugs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with other developers
