About The Position

The Frozen Foods Supervisor oversees effective operation of the frozen foods department, including ordering, inventory control, product rotation, pricing, displays, scheduling, and records. The role ensures incoming supplier products are handled in accordance with company policies and works with the direct supervisor to coordinate department schedules and manage team member training, evaluations, and disciplinary concerns when supervising team members. Work is generally performed in a safe and comfortable store environment, with possible frequent exposure to hot or cold conditions. Responsibilities

Order product appropriately to maintain adequate stock and optimum inventory levels.
Control inventory to prevent spoilage and outdated product, maintain proper stock rotation, ensure pricing is accurate and legible, and keep displays full, faced, and eye-appealing.
Plan work schedules with the direct supervisor so they complement the department and the rest of the store.
Ensure prompt product returns and comply with company policies for receiving incoming supplier products.
Apply an understanding of sales, gross profit, labor, and inventory to the effective operation of the department.
Maintain adequate and appropriate department records.
When supervising team members, provide proper training and work with the direct supervisor to ensure evaluations and disciplinary concerns are handled properly and promptly.
