About The Position

The Front Door team member is responsible for merchandise protection procedures, monitoring activity at club entrances and exits, and providing superior customer service to members. The role supports club policies, procedures, compliance, safety, and daily service standards. Team members are expected to work collaboratively, act with honesty and integrity, maintain a friendly and positive attitude, and help deliver a clean, organized club experience.

The position includes checking merchandise against receipts, auditing designated services and transactions, responding to security alarms, inspecting bags as people leave the building, recording discrepancies, and processing empty water jug return vouchers. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function. Other duties may be assigned, including work in other departments as needed.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to use a smart handheld device.
• Successfully complete required training and certification processes.
• Must be employed with the company for at least six months.
• At least 18 years of age, except Indiana: at least 19; Delaware: at least 21.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

Responsibilities

• Greet, assist, and thank members promptly and professionally.
• Resolve member concerns courteously and in a timely manner, escalating issues to management when necessary.
• Follow merchandise protection procedures and shrink alert protocols; maintain the AP Alert Binder according to standards.
• Follow BEST procedures, including cross-checking merchandise against register receipts and verifying high-dollar-value items.
• Record register receipt discrepancies and notify the front line so they can be corrected promptly.
• Audit Express Pay, BOPIC, Curbside Pick-up, and Same Day Delivery according to company procedures.
• Inspect known repack articles to ensure repack awareness guidelines are followed.
• Monitor member and visitor traffic entering and exiting the club.
• Respond to Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) alarms according to established procedures.
• Maintain safety for members and team members.
• Inspect team members’, members’, and vendors’ bags, backpacks, briefcases, and lunch boxes as they leave the building.
• Process empty water jug return vouchers for members.
• Follow all club policies and procedures and perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
• Support daily GOLD Member and Club Standards, including a safe, positive, clean, and organized environment.
