Front Desk Student Assistant, DRS
About The Position
Disability Resource Services has a temporary, hourly-intermittent student assistant position available. The position is available on or after November 10, 2026, and ends on or before May 31, 2027. Reappointment may be possible based on budget, department needs, and job performance. The role supports students with disabilities through front-desk assistance, assistive technology instruction, classroom and paperwork support, exam proctoring, and cart services. A valid driver’s license is required. Undergraduate applicants must be enrolled in at least six Fall/Spring units. Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be enrolled in at least four Fall/Spring units. The pay rate is $16.90 per hour. Applicants must submit a completed Stanislaus State online employment application and résumé. A satisfactory background check is required for employment.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six Fall/Spring units.
- Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four Fall/Spring units.
- Must satisfactorily complete a background check.
Responsibilities
- Answer phones and respond to general questions about the program.
- Schedule appointments.
- Instruct students with disabilities in the use of assistive technology software.
- Assist students with disabilities in the classroom as needed.
- Help students with disabilities with paperwork.
- Proctor exams as needed.
- Provide cart services for students with disabilities to and from classes and deliver confidential items to departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
